Robodock
An Amsterdam-based festival of technofreaks, robot designers, musicians, theater makers, handymen, and IT experts who together created a mixture of art and technology. Steel from a nearby shipyard was recycled into theatrical pieces and decor. The festival was somewhat like the Dutch little sister of Burning Man, which is held annually in the American Black Rock Desert.
For me as a journalist, it proved to be a turning point, as writing about this festival brought me into contact with the world of recycling and its publications. Exploring this industry brought many interesting topics to light.
